Together this trio will blow you away with their musical talents. Performing together since 2003, they are also founder members of Irelands hottest and most exciting band of our current generation “Guidewires”. Their music consists of both new and old tunes with an odd foreign set thrown in for good measure.What makes them so different is their arrangements of these musical pieces. This concert includes many new unheard sets from the three.

Pádraig Rynne – Concertina
Pádraig is one of Irish music’s best known names and seems to have played and recorded with the biggest names in music. An ex member of “Cian” –Pádraig has recorded and performed with musicians such as Arty McGlynn, Kevin Crawford, Tony Linnane, At First Light, Flook…it is clear that he is one of music’s most in demand musicians.
His solo album“Bye AWhile” released in 2005 was one of the fastest selling Traditional albums that year.
Tóla Custy – Fiddle
The name of Custy is synonymous with Clare fiddle music, Tóla is one of the most famous performers, composers and recording artist that Irish music has to offer. Tóla has recorded and performed with Mirella Murray, Grada, Lúnasa, Alan Kelly and his band, Arty McGlynn, Heidi Talbot and Pauline Scanlon, just to name a few.
Paul McSherry – Guitar
A member of the famous McSherry family from Belfast, it’s no surprise that Paul has been credited with re-inventing Irish music on the guitar. A founding member of Tamalin, Paul has also recorded and played with Déanta, Mosaic,
Liam O Flynn, The Donal Lunny band.

Kathleen MacInnes
Scotland on Sunday “Best Folk Album released in 2006″ Og-mhadainn Shamhraidh (Summer Dawn) Kathleen MacInnes. Having worked for almost two years to put this gig together,We are delighted to welcome this amazing vocalist from South Úist to An Droichead. Kathleen has unique vocal colour and an ability to breathe dramatic life into her songs – she’s also an actress and television presenter, and her album“Og-mhadainn Shamhraidh” with accompaniments by some of Gaeldom’s best singers including Cathy Ann MacPhee and Julie Fowlis, and top folk instrumentalists from Capercaillie’s Donald Shaw and Michael McGoldrick to fiddler John McCusker is a beauty. Anyone not already familiar with Kathleen’s work is in for a real treat.
