Founded in 1997, Aisling Ghéar is an Irish language theatre company based in the West Belfast Gaeltacht Quarter. For over 15 years they have been entertaining and endearing audiences with a generous helping of the Classics,  the ‘brand-new-never-been-seen on stage before’,  the shows for children, the cross-community shows… and not forgetting the show about Elvis. Twice a year it packs up the big van and tours the country, taking Belfast, the Irish language and a ‘cracker of a show’ out on the road.

The Shop grew alongside Belfast and the North’s Irish speaking community and it is one of the few independent bookshops that have held their own and remained successful during these days of the chain store.
